Winter Discovery Hike

Event Summary

Start off the new year with some fresh air on a winter discovery hike. We’ll explore a quiet JCC property, either Ciha Fen Preserve or Cedar River Crossing, based on best conditions. We'll meet at the parking area outside Sutliff Bridge (5546 130th St NE, Lisbon, IA 52253). From there we'll explore on Sutliff Bridge, and if conditions are good, explore the forest of Cedar River Crossing, just a walk across the bridge away. We may also go to Ciha Fen Preserve, just a mile's drive away on a gravel road. Parking is along the gravel road and participants are encouraged to carpool as much as possible from the bridge to Ciha, a 5 minute drive away.  

Both sites are primitive; there are no trails or restroom facilities available. Please dress for travel through wooded areas and with footwear that could get wet or muddy.
