Event Summary

During the winter months, owls call more  frequently to attract mates or claim territory.   Join Naturalist Sydney Algreen and the Iowa  City Bird Club at the CEC at Kent Park to learn about these nocturnal creatures!   The program will feature a short indoor, kid-friendly program about owls followed by a guided hike to search for owls. To warm up after the hike enjoy some hot chocolate   and fixings back at the CEC. This program is meant for families, but everyone will enjoy learning about Iowa’s owls. Participants should bundle up and dress for the weather. This program is dependent on weather conditions. Owl Prowl is a free program, but registration is required by 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 15.
