Spring Sunset - Full Moonrise Hike

Event Summary

Meet at Evergreen Landing Parking lot on the west side of Kent Park. The group will first hike on a big loop through Kent Park's tallgrass prairies, checking out the early spring prairie flowers, as the sun sets in the west. A second loop will take us down the hill and around the big lake for views of the full moon as it rises over the lake in the east. Some parts of the hike will be silent, as we listen for night sounds - we may hear spring frogs, whip-poor-wills, and/or barred owls if we are lucky: a;; have been heard on previous hikes. Join us for only the first loop if you wish.
