Volunteer Prairie Seed Harvest -Weekdays

Event Summary

Collecting prairie seed is a fun, easy, and very rewarding task, with tangible immediate and long-term results. Prairie seed is expensive and more volunteer-collected seed decreases the amount that must be purchased to restore JCC prairies. Volunteers will meet at the Conservation Education Center, but seed collecting will take place at various locations within Kent Park. Wear a long-sleeved shirt, long pants, gloves, and closed-toe shoes and bring a water bottle. This activity is ideal for active senior citizens or any adults wishing to help out.
