Iowa River Clean Up

Event Summary

Help beautify the Iowa River! Over eight years of this annual event, volunteers have removed 65 tons of trash and over 1000 tires from a 10-mile stretch of river! Volunteers are needed both in canoes and on land to remove junk. After a full and satisfying day of positive earth work, an after party will be held at Big Grove Brewery with free drink tokens provided for all volunteers, donated by Big Grove. Participants can expect to paddle up to 10 miles, get very muddy, dig out large and small trash from sandbars, and work hard on this volunteer adventure. 

Registration closes Oct 3rd. Canoes are available first come, first served. Further logistical emails will be sent in the week leading up to the event.
