Event Summary
Volunteer on Thursdays in June (June 8, 15, 22, and 29) from 9am-Noon each day. Anyone between the ages of 12-19 years old can participate.
Join in leadership activities, educational conservation and ecology opportunities, and hands on service learning. Engage in important conservation and park projects while working as a team, gaining self-esteem, and learning social responsibility and respect for the environment.
Crew members will be provided work gloves, water, snacks, and a crew member t-shirt. Crew members will need to dress to get dirty, be outside and participate in hands-on conservation work. Equipment will be provided for the projects.
Projects may include invasive species removal, trail maintenance and brush clearing, bird house monitoring and maintenance, park clean up, species surveying and monitoring, assisting with creation of short informational videos, and native plantings and demonstration garden care.
Participants will gain skills to last a lifetime, friendships, natural resource knowledge and abilities, and a stronger connection to the environment. Hours of service may be used for community service hours at local schools and listed on a future resume.
Get involved and register by May 31st.
