Smith Lake South Site 40 - Host Only

Site 40

Site 40 has a gravel pad that is 43 feet in length, and 15 feet wide. It comes with a water connection, fire ring, charcoal grill, and picnic table. The 50/30/20 amp electrical pedestal is shared with neighboring site, and the receptacles in the pedestal are first come, first served. This site is well shaded by large deciduous trees on either side of the pad. This site has been designated as a camp host only site.


Check-In / Out Availability Check-in is after 04:00 PM and check-out is before 03:00 PM.

Location

Smith Lake Park is located 3 miles north of Algona on the west side of Highway 169.

This campsite is located toward the west end of the campground on the north side of the road and near the modern restroom facilities.

Fees

The nightly camping rate for walk-in sites is $15 to be paid at the time of arrival.

You can pay online by card by clicking the link, or by scanning the QR code located in the registration kiosk or on your envelope. If you pay by card, the nightly rate is $15.60. The extra 60 cents is a 4% convenience fee to help cover our credit card processing fees. You will still need to fill out an envelope at the registration kiosk and drop it in the payment pedestal, just as you would if paying by cash or check.

Please indicate that you have paid online on the envelope.

Be sure to tag your site upon payment with the filled out top portion of your registration envelope.


Hours of Operation & Seasons

Our campgrounds open around the middle of April depending on weather, and close around the end of October. Water and restroom facilities may not be available until all risk of a freeze have passed. Visitors to your campsite are welcome from 7 AM until 10:30 PM daily with quiet hours starting at 10:30 PM
