The Water's Edge Nature Center library contains outdoor reference guides, outdoor periodicals, kids books, hunting and fishing stories, and much more.  Many donations have been made to the library, including a Kossuth County plat book from 1896, as well as some vintage periodicals.  It is also home to an indoor working bee hive.

Kossuth County

The Kossuth County Conservation Board is located in north central Iowa along the Minnesota border and is Iowa's only "double tier" county. It is twice as vertical as adjoining counties. The conservation board staff currently manages 30 parks, prairies and wildlife areas - encompassing 2,303 acres, and is home to the Water's Edge Nature Center.
