This rarely visited preserve highlights a dry sandy prairie and woodland. Walk the trails with Cedar Rapids Audubon birder Jim
Durbin to look for birds and perhaps even a few reptiles.A highlight will be the restoration work that has taken place during the last few years. Park and meet on the southeast corner of the preserve on Wapsi Ridge Dr. All ages. Cost: $2.50/adult, $1 for children 16 and under or $5 per family. Registration deadline July 24.
