Just a Walk in the Park Series: Full Moon Owl Hike - Wanatee Park

Event Summary

Join us at the Cedar Lodge Parking lot at Wanatee Park to hike out and learn about some of the common owls of Iowa.  We will see a variety of mounted owls and learn about what makes them “nature’s perfect mousetraps.”  View wings and talons, owl pellets and more. Participants will then head down the trail to see if we can carry on a conversation with a wild owl. The full moon should be rising as we hike which will make for some nice viewing opportunities. Cost: $1/child 16 and under or $2.50/ adult.
