Queen Rearing Class

Event Summary

Would you like to rear your own queens? This two-day in depth queen-rearing course teaches methods used by both the hobbyist and commercial beekeepers. We will cover queen and done biology, genetics, timing, mating yards,grafting (hands on), and non-grafting alternatives, along with queen marking. A solid beekeeping foundation is necessary. Due to time restraints and out of respect of fellow students the instructor will not be able to cover basic beekeeping questions in this class. Instructor Erin Miller Certified Master Beekeeper UMT.
