Spring Bird Banding

May is migration time. Thousands of birds that flew south to find food for the winter return to their summer nesting locations during the spring. It's a wonderful time to discover not only which birds pass through our area, but also who may be staying here to nest this summer. Drop in any time and stay as long as you like to have the opportunity to see your favorite birds in hand, maybe even your own hand. Licensed bird bander Rob Bradley will introduce you to the techniques of bird banding. All ages. Cost: $2.50/ adult, $1 for children 16 and under or $5 per family. No registration required.
