Event Summary
Come and participate in tagging monarchs collected at this site. We will place an I.D. tag on the wings and then release the butterflies. Unlike most other insects in temperate climates, monarch butterflies cannot survive a long cold winter. Instead, they spend the winter in roosting spots in Mexican mountains; will one of these monarchs make it to Mexico? Also, learn more about these winter roosting sites.
