Come and join us for a fun filled day learning about various adventures you can consider for the year ahead of you – based on those behind some of our presenters. We will provide the popcorn, and you show up for any one of these or all - to learn more about hunting archery across North America and Africa, Adventures of a Bird Biologist, Whitewater Kayaking on the Ocoee River in Tennessee with Iowa folks, and more! Programs begin on the hour and run about 45 minutes, then are open to questions and answers before switching out for the next guest. Our keynote will run for 2 of these sessions AND – we provide the popcorn! FREE.
Break up winter and treat cabin fever with a day of tales and accounts of outdoor adventures! Pick and choose sessions or bring a sack lunch and stay for the entire event. We provide the popcorn at the breaks! Sessions for Adventure Day Dialogue include:
Eyad Yehyawi - Join us for a bowhunting adventure across North America and Africa with this guest speaker. Eyad is an outdoor writer, naturalist and the author of the award-winning book “Crimson Arrows: A Bowhunting Odyssey.” His journey will inspire you to chase your dreams—no matter the obstacles—and we hope to see you there!
Anna Buckardt Thomas, MS, CPM, Avian Ecologist - Adventures of a Bird Biologist - Join Anna as she shares stories from her work studying birds across the US. From trekking through Hawaiin forests, to getting stuck in the mud while capturing swans, to putting radio tags on Wood Thrush in mosquito-infested forests, there is never a dull day in the field when you're a bird biologist!
Piper Wall and Dave Hillman - Let's Have Fun on the Ocoee River! The Ocoee River in Tennessee is divided into the Upper and Middle whitewater sections and is a major whitewater paddling hotbed that sees over 250,000 rafters, kayakers, and canoers annually. The Upper Ocoee was the venue for the 1996 Olympic whitewater slalom events and has many named class 3/4 individual rapids both before and after the challenging Olympic portion. Join Piper Wall and Dave Hillman on a magical tour of the Upper Ocoee with a number of fun videos and stories.
