Event Summary

Peter Hoehnle, Ph.D will discuss the relationship between the Meskwaki Tribe and the Amana Society from 1855-2009. The Iowa Valley RC&D received a federal grant to identify and report on cultural and historical resources in the Iowa River Valley. It is this report that brought to light the deep histories, and deep connections, between members of the Amana Society and the Meskwaki Tribe. Cost: $2.50/adult, $1/child 16 and under or $5/family.
