Drum Making Workshop
JUN 13 2009 1:00 PM
Event Summary
Drums have been a significant part of people’s lives for thousands of years. The drum represents the life force of creation. By tradition, American Indian drums are large, two to three feet in diameter, and are commonly played by groups of men who sit around them in a circle. Some cultures also use a smaller hand drum for either musical or decorative purposes. We will be making a hand drum during the two afternoons this weekend. Cost for each drum is $75 per person. Prepayment and registration are due by June 2. Space is limited and there must be a minimum number of participants for this workshop. Please call 892-6485 to register.
