"Take Only Photos, Leave Only Footprints" Nature Photo Contest/Scavenger Hunt (Adult)

Event Summary

Linn County Conservation and Linn Area Photo Club are sponsoring an Adult Photo Contest/Scavenger Hunt. Images must be taken between October 2012 and March 23, 2013 at a Linn County Conservation (LCC) Park or facility.  Participants must be at least 18 or older.  Images will be judge during the last week of March, 2013.  Announcement of the winners and their prizes will be on-line immediately after the completion of the judging.

Most scavenger hunts ask you to find something and bring it back. This scavenger hunt is completely different; it asks you to only take an image of 20 different items that can’t be brought back.  This scavenger hunt list will be more difficult and will be open to the photographer’s interpretation.  The winning photos will be placed on display at Wickiup.  Some of the images may be used by LCC for marketing or promotional purposes. 

You will need to mail in the registration/release form below along with the $5 fee (made out to Linn County Treasurer) to Wickiup Hill Learning Center, Photo Scavenger Hunt, 10260 Morris Hills Road, Toddville, Iowa 52341. The scavenger list will be emailed to you upon receipt of the registration/release form and fee.  This must be received by November 1^st.

Rules

Prints can not be smaller than 4x6” but your favorite image can be as large as 11x14”.  The images are not to be matted or mounted.  On the back of each image, please place your name, address, email address, phone number, where the image was taken and which item on the scavenger list it captures.

The images can be dropped off at Wickiup Hill any time prior to the final date of the contest.
