Recycled Art Program January 12 – Saturday, 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at Wickiup Hill Children will have the opportunity to explore the fun of making art using recycled materials. Participants will create and decorate their own stuffed Plush Fish or magnetic Fridge Fish using recycled fabrics and other found materials. Arizona artist Pete Goldlust creates whimsical, colorful creatures out of secondhand clothing and other recycled materials. A collection of these creatures will inhabit The Wickiup Hill Learning Center beginning in January 2013. This workshop is open to children ages 5-10. Participants must be accompanied by an adult at the workshop, but one adult can bring several children. This program is co-sponsored by the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art.
