Join Elizabeth Reetz to learn about Iowa’s archaeological past, a chronology of cultural history, and the importance of Iowa’s water trails to people throughout time, with focus on the Cedar River. Elizabeth will also provide a sampling of authentic and replica artifacts. Exhibits in the Moblie Museum include Iowa’s Ice Age Giants about the great mammals that roamed the state during the last ice age, Glenwood: Iowa’s Ancient Agriculturalists the story of Glenwood culture in Iowa’s Loess Hills, and Cornerstones: the founding of Iowa, the building of the Old Capitol, and the creation of the University of Iowa.
