Event Summary

Experience ceremonial dances, arts and crafts and exhibits with naturalist Gail Barels at the Meskwaki Settlement for 100th Anniversary of the Meskwaki Powwow. We will meet at 10:30 a.m. at Wickiup Hill and drive to Tama. Lunch will be from various vendors and we will be ready to observe the Grand Entry at 1:00 p.m. We will return around supper time. Please dress for the weather and bring sun screen. You may also bring a folding lawn chair or you can sit on the bleachers at the powwow grounds. Cost: $15 per person.  Deadline to register is August 4.
