Event Summary

Natural resource specialist Dana Kellogg and other staff will light up the night sky with a spectacular prairie fire. Observe the dramatic management practice of prairie burning to renew the prairie Wickiup Hill Learning Area. Before the burn, meet at the kiosk near the parking area to learn why this technique is used, how the area is prepared and what types of equipment are used. Cost is $2.50/adult, $1/child 16 and under or $5/family.
