LocationRailroad right of way trail that extends along the northern portion of Chinkapin Bluffs Recreation Area between the bluff and the Iowa River. Ample parking is available at the trailhead located at the south end of the Louisa County Fairgrounds.

This section of the Hoover Nature Trail is a 2 mile, flat, crushed lime railroad right of way. It stretches from the trailhead located on the south end of the Louisa County Fairgrounds to a dead-end at the end of County Property. This trail is perfect for running or walking. Dogs welcome but must be leashed.

This trail connects in two places to the steep bluff trails of Chinkapin Bluffs Recreation Area.
