EXPLORE: Pammel Park

Naturalist Amy will lead an exploration of historic Pammel Park. Campers will investigate the ecological impacts of various pressures on the ancient woodland and riverbed landscape. Campers will investigate the path of the EF-4 tornado that hit Pammel Park in March 2022. Lessons will focus on the native plants, animals (and more!) that are rushing in to fill these new ecological niches.

Special help from Director of Madison County Emergency Management, Dio, who will provide information on tornados and safety.

Special Guest: Phillip Mainprize, Madison County Mycology Club
