Event Summary

Presenters will discuss the dynamics of the wildlife associated with the Des Moines River communities. Engaging presentations during this event will include wildlife success stories of Otters, Bald Eagles and other types of birds, animals and insects important to our community; a one act play featuring a visit with Ding Darling, renowned editorial cartoonist, Pulitzer Prize winner and noted wildlife artist, Ding Darling is considered to be one of the most important members of the modern conservation movement; also, join "Saving Our Avian Resources" representatives to interact with a live Bald Eagle and other birds of prey.
