Brown Bag Bunch - Big Trees of Iowa

Event Summary

The Brown Bag for the month of July will be Mark Rouw from the Science Center of Iowa. Mark will present on the National and Iowa Big Tree Programs. Mark will explain what measurements are used and how they are compiled to determine a champion tree. Learn how to avoid some commonly made mistakes so you can measure trees more accurately. Photographs and stories about some of Mark’s favorite trees from 45 years of big tree hunting will be shared.  There is no fee for this program, however participants must pre-register before July 12 at 4:00 p.m. by calling (641)752-5490, email mccb@marshallcountyia.gov, or text 641-758-9777.
