To register for Brown Bags, please call 641-752-5490, email mccb@marshallcountyia.gov, or text only 641-758-9777 by the deadline of each event listed below.  November: Great Horned Owls Thursday,  November 7 at 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Grimes Farm and Conservation Center Registration Fee: FREE Deadline: November 2 by 4:00 p.m.   Let me introduce ya’ll to Athena! She is a great horned owl, whooo just turned one this past March. Brenda and Jeremy Smith are licensed falconers who train wild birds of prey to hunt with them. Athena will be starting her training program to learn to hunt this fall! Brenda and Jeremy also are mentoring apprentices to share their knowledge and experience. Come check out Athena and learn all about falconry.
