Mushroom Foray

Event Summary

Join the Prairie States Mushroom Club to discover and learn about all forms of fungi, including some choice edible field mushrooms!  Dress for rain or shine, boots, long pants and long sleeves.  Bring a bucket or bag for collecting mushrooms found in the woods.  Around noon at the conservation center experts will identify and label the specimens, while participants partake of a potluck lunch.  Your potluck contribution doesn’t have to contain mushrooms.  Following lunch the club will hold its annual meeting; public may attend meeting, but not vote.  For more info:  http://iowamushroom.org/
