Event Summary

Join the Mitchell County Pioneer PF Chapter on Saturday, October 19th for a fun morning of youth pheasant hunting! This is a great opportunity to get local youth interested in and experience in pheasant hunting. Breakfast will begin at 7:00 at the Milton R. Owen Nature Center, followed by a review in safety procedures and assignment of leaders and areas. After breakfast, youth and their leader will travel to their assigned areas for a great hunting experience! Return at noon for lunch and cleaning demonstrations. Please call the Mitchell County Conservation Board office at (641) 732-5204 to register today! This event is free to local youth that have successfully completed their Hunter's Education course. Youth 15 years and under do NOT need a hunting license, but it is preferred that they have completed their Hunter Education course.
