BIG BUCK CONTEST!

Event Summary

The MCEEF will be hosting a BIG BUCK CONTEST on February 8th, 2014 from 9-5 P.M. at the Milton R. Owen Nature Center. Everyone is welcome, even if you don't have a buck to enter into the contest. We will be celebrating all things deer with big bucks on display, local lockers with deer processing samples, local taxidermists, and more! Admission is only $5 at the door. A feature of the day is your chance to win a Remington 12-guage Model 870™ Express® Combo. Tickets are $5 per ticket, or 5 for $20 and you need not be present to win. Call the Mitchell County Conservation Board office at (641) 732-5204 or Brian Huffman at (641) 425-8879 to purchase tickets. The contest will feature local certified scorers (Iowa, Pope & Young, Boone & Crockett) to score your rack or shed for only $5!
 Rules for entry are:
1.) Legally harvested deer only
 2.) White-tailed deer species only
3.) Skull plate must be intact, unless entering a shed antler
4.) Entries accepted until 4:00 P.M. Awards to follow.
Prizes include a weekend cabin stay, free camping passes, and more!
