All age/grade ranges are based on the 2015-2016 school year. Please call, email, visit our Facebook Page, or stop by our office to register.
Naturalist Chelsea Ewen will be leading all classes. Each group will meet at the Milton R. Owen Nature center.

Wednesdays in July

Students going into 1st and 2nd Grade
Limit of 25
$10 per student  

July 1st– “A Sense of Wonder” (Nature through the 5 senses)
July 8th-“Wonderful Weather”
July 15th-“The Unloved” (Spiders, Worms, and Snakes!)
July 22nd-“The Lorax”

1:00 - 3:00 PM
Students going into 3rd and 4th Grade
Limit of 25
$10 per student

July 1st-”Playing on the Prairie”
(Plants and animals of the Prairie)
July 8th- “Whooo’s Loves the Night?”
(Nocturnal animals)
July 15th-“Marvelous Monarchs”
July 22nd-“Totally Turtles”

Students going into 5th and 6th Grade
Limit 25
$20 per student

July 2nd-Native American Skills
(fire building, archery, survival, etc.)
July 9th-Geology ROCKS!
July 16th– Wild Edibles
July 23rd Summer Splash!
(Water experiments)

Students going into 7th and 8th Grade
Limit of 8 (due to travel arrangements)
Cost $20 per student

July 2nd– Get Active!
(Mitchell Dam Tour & Hike Greenbelt Trail)
July 9th– Get Paddling!
(Canoe/Kayak the Cedar River)
July 16th-Shooting Sports
(Sling Shot, BB/Pellet, .22)
July 23rd-24th—Overnight Campout at MCCB Wildlife Area
Meet at 1:00 PM on July 23rd
Pick-up at 10:00 AM on July 24th
