The Muscatine County Environmental Learning Center hosts a permanent exhibit, "Iowa's Changing Landscape," describing our changing landscape and how it affects native wildlife. There are also two 1,200 gallon aquariums, temporary nature exhibits, and live snakes, turtles, amphibians, and raptors. The Environmental Learning Center is home to the Conservation Board offices and has a large classroom that is available for businesses and organizations to rent for meetings.

Muscatine County

The Muscatine County Conservation Board is located in southeast Iowa, with the Mississippi River bordering the county on the east, and the Cedar River meandering through the center. The Muscatine CCB maintains 11 areas totaling 1,755 acres for public access. These areas include cabins, campgrounds, the Environmental Learning Center, a beach, Cedar River accesses, hiking/biking trails, wildlife areas, lakes, wetlands, and prairies.
