O’Brien County Water Quality Snapshot

O'Brien County Conservation Board Headquarters, O'Brien County

Saturday, April 6, 2013

What’s in the water? Are you curious? The O’Brien County Natural Resource Conservation Service, the O’Brien County Farm Bureau and the O’Brien County Conservation Board have worked with local volunteers each spring to capture a snapshot of the water conditions in our county. The O’Brien County Water Quality Snapshot will take place on Saturday, April 6.

Play a part in this year’s sampling. Volunteers meet together for instruction at the Farm Bureau/ISU Extension Office in Primghar at 8:30 a.m. Teams go to various sites in the county to sample water and return to Primghar. The sampling is completed by noon, and lunch is provided.

Please call the NRCS office at 712-757-3855 ext #3 to sign up. Take part in this spring event and help to gather information on water quality.  There is no fee for the participants, but Pre-Registration is required.  For more information call the Conservation Board at 712-295-7200 or the NRCS office at 712-757-3855 ext 3.
