Hungerford Games
JUN 27 2021 1:00 PM
Event Summary
Our AmeriCorps Naturalist, Madalyn, has been hosting a series of monthly programs, designed to help kids in grades 4 -12 develop their outdoor skills. Beginning in October, youth have been taught a variety of outdoor skills, ranging from fire and shelter building, to archery and wayfinding. In February, the kids were able to strap on some snowshoes and learn how to track animals in the park. In the coming months, kids will learn about identifying wild edibles and foraging for food. These monthly survival trainings will continue through spring and help kids develop the skills needed to win the Hungerford Games June 27th! To learn more about the Hungerford Games Training as well as the Games themselves, check out the activity guide attached to this newsletter or call Madalyn at 712-947-4270. This is a FREE program!!
