On November 2, you'll vote whether to create a Natural Resources and Outdoor Recreation Trust Fund in Iowa. Learn more about this ballot measure that can increase and solidify state funding for Iowa's water, land, wildlife and more. Presented by Anita O'Gara of the Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation. A way to support Iowa’s natural resources on a local level is to become a Friend of the Great Outdoors. Friends (GOF) Coordinator, Jim Youngblood, will take a few minutes to tell you about the GOF, a non-profit organization that serves the greater Des Moines area by providing high quality, healthy living for Greater Polk County through expanded open space, restored landscapes, and greater recreational and outdoor education opportunities. Luncheon registration deadline is October 1.
