Older Wiser Livelier Seniors – Looking for an excuse to get out of house, make some new friends, enjoy a good meal and learn about the exciting world of nature? Then join us! These programs are held the first Tuesday of each month. The program starts at 11 a.m. An optional luncheon, catered by the Radish, follows the program. The cost of the catered lunch is $8. Lunch will include sliced turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy. Registration deadline is October 28.
The late Gladys Black of Pleasantville was widely known throughout Iowa as a conservationist, educator, and amateur expert on birds. Larry Stone and coauthor Jon Stravers have written a book about Gladys. Larry’s slide program acknowledges this colorful woman’s impact on so many Iowans.
