Event Summary
"Horsin' Around" Riding Camp: Students will be taught basic horse anatomy, the parts of the saddle and bridle, and how to tie a horse. They will learn how to approach a horse that is tied or in a stall and how to lead a horse safely around other horses including how to enter and exit the stall and barn. Riders will be taught how to groom and safely put on a saddle, tie a western cinch and how to tighten it once tied. Students will participate in a riding lesson each day that is focused on basic riding skills. Everyone will also have the opportunity to go on a trail ride. The five day camp concludes with a "mini fun show" on Friday.
Horse and equipment are provided. Children should wear jeans and sturdy shoes. Campers should bring a Sack Lunch each day of camp.
Cost for week-long camps is $225 per child.
