Tom Hazelton serves as the CEO of Iowa's County System, and suspiciously - was hatched within days of the county conservation bill being signed into law?! Hmmmm? His nearly 40-year career in county conservation yields a unique perspective on the history, expansion and success of this 99-county system. Join Tom as he waltzes you through a bit of the history and early structure, then on to the incredible statewide presence that it has become. A portion of the presentation will focus on the economic impact that not only the Polk County Conservation Board provides to the local economies - but the broader impact made on Iowa's economy, workforce development, and quality of life! Tom artfully blends hundreds of beautiful photographs amongst statistics and stories to provide you with an especially informative experience
