Ever wished you had gone to summer camp as a kid but never got the chance? Well here’s your opportunity. Sign up for this exciting hands-on adult summer camp and learn all the skills you’ll need to feel comfortable and confident in the great outdoors. Each session will be led by Polk County Conservation naturalists, all equipment will be provided, and each evening will conclude with a campfire and social with appetizers provided. This is a great opportunity for you to get that summer camp experience while meeting other adults with a similar outdoor interest. Sign up for one or the entire series. Pre-registration required, minimum age 21, all classes will meet at Jester Park, Shelter #5. Fee: $10 per class.  

A is for Archery, Atlatls, and Artifacts Wednesday, June 22 @ 6:00-8:00 p.m. Try your hand using ancient techniques for hunting game. You’ll learn the basics of archery, how to throw an atlatl, and see real authentic artifacts crafted by early Iowa natives and learn how the artifacts were constructed into tools. Registration deadline is June 17.
