Looking for an excuse to get out of the house, make some new friends, enjoy a good meal and learn about the exciting world of nature? Then join us! These programs are held the first Tuesday of each month. The nature program will start at 11:00 a.m. at the Jester Park Lodge. An optional luncheon follows the program at noon in which pre-registration is required. Luncheon registration deadline is July 28. The cost of the catered lunch by The Radish is $10. Lunch menu - chicken parmesan, pasta marinara, green beans, salad, bread, and dessert
Watershed Management Authority Coordinator John Swanson will be discussing the future of water quality in the Des Moines Metro area. Efforts are underway to improve the water quality and reduce flooding in our local streams. Come learn about the new watershed management authority approach utilizing everyone from cities to local residents to federal agencies working together for the common goal of improved water quality. You will learn about future plans for ecological restorations, new greenbelt parks, what can you do to help, and much more!
