Mystery Cave, Bily Clocks, 2-Day Adventure: Eco-Bus Trip-Cancelled


Event Summary

The two-day adventure begins with a tour of the famous Spam Museum in Austin, MN.  Following lunch in Austin, we travel to Mystery Cave in Forestville, MN.  Mystery Cave has an ADA accessible 1 hour guided tour. No steps on this cave tour. Following the cave tour and park exploration, we head to Decorah. Round out the day with supper and wine sampling at The Wildberry Winery.  Overnight accommodations at Country Inn & Suites in Decorah. 

Day 2 will begin with a driving tour of the historic sites in Decorah.  The group will explore the award winning Vesterheim Norwegian-American Museum in downtown Decorah.  A stop at the state fish hatchery to feed the trout and view the famous Bald Eagle nest is our final morning stop.  Enjoy lunch at the #1 micro-brewery company in the U.S., Toppling Goliath Brewery.  We will hear the story from small town brewery to major player in the micro-brew industry. Following lunch, we will explore the Bily Clock museum in Spillville, IA.  The unique collection of 40 hand carved clocks, depicting a particular moment in history, religion or culture will leave you in awe.  Step on board with us for a fun two-day adventure of discovery.  

Fee: $200 per person double occupancy/ $250 single occupancy includes transportation, meals, tour fees, and hotel accommodations.  Depart from Prairie Meadows NW parking lot 1, Altoona, IA.

Reservations are fully refundable prior to registration deadline. After deadline, registration may be refunded less the $10 cancellation fee if space can be filled. If the reserved space is not filled before the trip, no refund can be given.  ​
