Event Summary
Experience eco and historic tourism in Western Iowa. Our first stop will be at the new Whiterock Rest area, where Kay Neumann will give a short program with live hawks and owls. Our journey continues with a tour of the very popular Templeton Rye bottling facility. We will continue traveling westward Manning and tour the German Haus Barn, a 17 acre exhibit. Lunch will be catered by a local church. Next stop will be at Albert the Bull and Nathaniel Hamlin Park in Audubon. Our final stop will be at the "Tree in the Middle of the Road" on our way back to Des Moines.
Fee: $60, includes motorcoach transportation, lunch and tour fees. Departure from the Living History Farms parking lot in Urbandale. Registration deadline is August 17.
