Event Summary

Explore the diversity of culture, eco-tourism and alternative agriculture in Central Iowa. We will begin the day with a stop at Turtle Farms, a certified organic CSA. Then a quick stop at the Jester Park Natural Playscape and thenew  Bison/Elk exhibit. We will then tour the ornate Hindu Temple. Corncrib catering will serve us lunch in a restored corncrib overlooking Iowa’s farm fields. Save room for wine tasting and leisurely tour of Snus Winery. Our next experience will find us enjoying the view from the new High Trestle Trail Bridge via a horse drawn wagon ride. The bridge is 13 stories high, 1/2 mile long over the Des Moines River Valley. The longest and tallest biking/walking bridge in the Midwest. Our final stop will be a tour of the Picket Fence Creamery. Pie and homemade ice cream will be served as finale to the day!

Fee: $60, includes motorcoach transportation, lunch and tour fees. Departure from the Walmart Parking Lot in Grimes.
