Event Summary
Got the winter blues? This trip is full of both adventure and relaxation. Experience an adventure of a lifetime by spending a full day of dog sledding! Experienced guides will lead our trip into the wilderness, teaching you how to harness your dogs and steer the sled. The extensive training of both dogs and staff contributes to a safe and comfortable sled dog experience. During this five-day trip you will have an opportunity to cross country ski on groomed trails, and explore the wilderness by snowshoe. We will also get an introduction to wolf research techniques by spending several hours tracking wolves on snowshoes. Instruction and equipment will be available. Lodging will be a large family style cabin.
Fee: $600; includes transportation (15 passenger van), lodging, rental fees, most meals, and dog sledding. Departure from Jester Park Minimum age 21 years Participants will need to provide personal items and money for meals while traveling. Registration deadline is February 6.
