Event Summary

Explore eastern Iowa via a two day extravaganza! Our first stop will be the New Melleray Abbey, a Trappist monestery in the rolling farmland of Dubuque. A luncheon cruise on the mighty Mississippi will be served aboard the Spirit of Dubuque. Following lunch we will explore the newly expanded National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium. Our evening entertainment will be a Historic Progressive Dinner touring three of Dubuque’s historic homes with tour guides dressed in period costume.



Our second day will include a stop at Mathias Ham house and a tour of Eagle Point Park (Dubuque/Dyserville cont’d) with a panoramic view of Lock & Dam 11. We will take a scenic drive to Balltown for a luncheon buffet at the famous "Breitsbach Country Dining" restaurant. Bring your camera for a pictures at the Field of Dreams movie site, followed by a tour of the Basilica of St. Francis of Xavier. Our final stop will be a tour of the National Farm and Toy museum in Dyersville.



Fee: $210 /person double occupancy or $245 single occupancy, includes motorcoach transportation, meals, hotel room, and tour fees. Please list roommates name in comment section or put down single occupancy.  NOTE:  Single occupancy registration need to call the office (515-323-5300) to pay the additional fee.

Trip Cancellation Policy:  If the trip reservation is cancelled before the registration deadline the individual will be issued a full refund.  If the trip reservation is cancelled after the registration deadline, the individual will be refunded payment  only if the  assigned space is re-reserved by another person.  The refund shall be the amount of the trip less a $10 cancellation fee.  If assigned space is not re-reserved, no refund will be given. The trip reservation fee may also be transferred to another trip prior to the registration deadline providing the trip is not full.
