Southern Missouri Canoe/Kayak Adventure & Park Tour - Trip is Full!!


Event Summary

Join us for a five day paddling adventure down the spring fed crystal clear Current River in the beautiful Ozark region. We will spend three nights camping at Montauk State Park and two days paddling past scenic rock bluffs and incredible natural springs.

We will depart from our campsite Saturday morning in route to visit two of Missouri’s most incredible and unique state parks. First, to Johnson Shut Ins where we’ll explore a labyrinth of natural water slides carved into solid red granite.

Next, we’ll take a short drive to Elephant Rocks State Park, to see three enormous boulders balancing upon each other like circus elephants. We will then continue on to Jefferson City to get a good night sleep in a hotel before return home Sunday afternoon.

Participants need to have paddling experience and must be in good physical condition. Participants will need to provide personal items, camping gear, and money for meals while traveling. Montauk has a modern campground with shower house.

Fee: $375; includes transportation via a 15 passenger van, canoe/kayak, camping fees, lodging (double occupancy) and most meals. Depart from Jester Park at 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 5, and return before 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 9. Minimum age is 21. Registration and Cancellation deadline is May 24th.

Trip Cancellation Policy:  If the trip reservation is cancelled before the registration deadline the individual will be issued a full refund.  If the trip reservation is cancelled after the registration deadline, the individual will be refunded payment  only if the  assigned space is re-reserved by another person.  The refund shall be the amount of the trip less a $10 cancellation fee.  If assigned space is not re-reserved, no refund will be given.
