Villages of Van Buren County Tour

Event Summary

The first bus is FULL! Call 323-5300 to register for  2nd bus!!  Step into the past with a tour of the Amish and Mennonite community in Van Buren County. Our first stop will be the Milton Creamery and then onto Dutchman's Store which is filled with bulk foods, dried goods and is known as "A Quilter's Paradise." Lunch will be at Keosauqua's newest restaurant followed by a tour of the historic Hotel Manning. Next stop is the Whispering Pines Winery with music by local musicians. We will drive through Lacey-Keosauqua State Park on our way to visit Bentonsport and end our day at the National Historic Riverfront District on Bonaparte. Bring extra spending money on this trip. There will be many opportunities to support the local economy!

Fee: $55; includes transportation, lunch, and all entrance fees. Departure from Prairie Meadows Parking Lot 1 in Altoona. Registration deadline is September 15.
