Event Summary

Join us for the second hike of our 2016 Hitch Hike series and take a closer look at some of Hitchcock's best prairie remnants as you are guided through Badger Ridge Trail. Discover Purple Coneflower and other early summer wildflowers and witness what the hills may have looked like when Lewis and Clark passed through the area.

We invite the public to attend all of the hikes in our Hitch Hike series. Join us on the third Tuesday of the month, May through September for a chance to explore Hitchcock Nature Center. The series will start with a more moderate trail, and we will work our way towards a healthy, invigorating 2.5 mile hike to the most western edge of the preserve at the series' end.

We recommend bringing a water bottle, bug spray,& sunblock & please dress for the weather and terrain.  There is no cost for this event, free will donations will be accepted. Weather permitting.
