SOAR at the Dragoon Trace Nature Center
Ringgold County Conservation is excited to announce an amazing program coming to the Dragoon Trace Nature Center. SOAR will be visiting on Sunday, September 30th at 1:00pm with one of their education ambassadors. Come on out to view a live permanently injured raptor, a possible release of a rehabilitated raptor (pending one is ready for release) and learn how you can help protect these amazing birds.
SOAR - Saving Our Avian Resources is a 501(c)(3) organization established in 1999 dedicated to saving avian resources through raptor rehabilitation, education, and research. SOAR maintains all necessary US Fish & Wildlife Service and Iowa Department of Natural Resources permits to rehabilitate birds and educate the public. Learn more about SOAR at http://soarraptors.org/.
The facilities of SOAR are designed for the safe and quiet rehabilitation of feathered patients, and to ensure low-stress rehabilitation for these wild birds, SOAR is not open to visitors. Events such as this at the Dragoon Trace Nature Center provide the opportunity to learn more about SOAR and learn about our education ambassadors.
