Forest Bathing
McFarland Park, Story County
Saturday, October 19, 2019
This guided walk is more than just spending time in the woods. Guides from Forest Therapy Pathways will assist you in slowing down, relaxing, reconnecting with nature, awakening your senses, and being present. Through a series of invitations, you will find opportunity for self-expression while deepening your awareness of the sights, smells, sounds, tastes, and tactile sensations that become your relationship with the forest. It is through the simple act of noticing where we are that we become present to ourselves once again.
Dress for the weather. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Bring water. You may want a small backpack. We will walk in a light rain, so bring rain gear. If it is down pouring, the walk will be postponed.
This program is for adults only.
