State history comes to life in these delightful tales of early Iowa--featuring the great Honey War of 1838, when Iowa was nearly invaded by Missouri!

(Older, Wiser, Livelier, Souls) programs are  held each month beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the Story County Conservation Center (56461 180th Street, Ames.) These are designed for "boomers" or older - but anyone can attend. No registration is required to attend the free program. An optional lunch follows the program for just $7.50. Register for lunch at storycountyconservation.org or call 515-232-2516. Registration and payment for the optional meal is required by 4:00 pm. on Friday, November 29, 2019.

 Menu:Beef and noodles, mashed potatoes, mixed veggies, dinner roll, and chocolate pound cake. 

NOTE:This program will be held at Northcrest Community's Fireside Building, which you will find at the first left off of 20th street.
